The Mazda3 is one of Mazda’s most popular models. Therefore anticipation for the 2017 generation is strongly building as the sophisticated enhancements to design and technology look to take this car to new heights.
One of the most notable upgrades to the 2017 Mazda3 is the refreshed design, which has given a real boost of sophistication; the “revised grille [has] a stronger three-dimensional look and a new front fog light bezel”, while new mirrors “feature wraparound turn indicators” that give a more sleek look.
Variations of the model include unique enhancements such as its “redesigned rear bumper” and the “Sport Nav models [with their] high-sheen finish 18-inch alloy wheels”. The interior design of the car has also been revamped, with “new leather steering wheel”, “higher quality switch panels” and a “newly designed trim insert on the dashboard”; on top of this there is a new electric parking brake which contributes to a more spacious and ergonomic design.
Furthermore “The 2017 Mazda3 is available in eight colours including Mazda’s new Machine Grey Mica”.
An interesting feature of the new Mazda3 is the attention given to reducing noise in the cabin, in order to create a more comfortable and enjoyable ride for the driver. The model uses Mazda’s “Natural Sound Smoother (NSS) technology, which reduces knock noise during starting and low-speed acceleration on diesel engines”. Furthermore there is “added noise suppression material in the roof, doors, dashboard and transmission tunnel area”, “door seals” and “additional vibration damping materials between the rear crossmembers” to ensure that noise is kept to an absolute minimum.
This next generation Mazda3 will be available to buy from the 1st October, and there will be the choice to buy either the “105ps 1.5-litre or 150ps 2.2-litre SKYACTIV-D diesel engine”.
