The 2017 Mazda3 drew Auto Express’ attention this week by being awarded 4 stars in a review that focuses in particular on the model’s exciting design updates.
The interior cabin now has a more ergonomic feel, which Auto Express states has been designed with a “focus on the driver”, reinforcing its sophisticated aesthetic. Improvements inside include a “redesigned steering wheel and better quality switchgear” along with a “smarter gloss black trim”.
Outside, the vehicle had more refreshed features, including advanced headlights which have “adaptive LED tech” and “new door mirror-mounted indicators”. The look of this Mazda3 is more robust with a larger front grille, “chunkier chrome surrounds and a lowered badge bringing the Mazda3 closer in design to the more modern CX-3 SUV.”
As well as these updates, the Mazda3 also includes the new G-Vectoring control system and Mazda’s “superbly intuitive” infotainment system, which have been proving extremely popular.
Overall, Auto Express has been very impressed by the enhancements Mazda has given to the sporty hatchback, on a car that they believe “didn’t need much fettling” in the first place!
